Looking for backhoe/loader tractor and need your opinion

My 480 E is a 1984 I think. That is still pretty old.

Sounds to me like there is more knocking going on
there than normal diesel noises. Could be the hydraulic
drive bushings are all beat out. Very hard to tell what
noises are on a video like this.

i picked up this minneapolis moline big mo 500 gasser
and its a handy machine. i put a set of used tires on the
back, brakes and a tune up. i do not beat the snot out of
it, its an old girl that likes tlc.

My opinion. Sooner or later, you will need parts.
Local Dealer support is priceless.

I only have one good Case/IH Kubota dealer that has been in business
since 1967. They have about 14 places in Indiana.
If I wanted to travel 30 miles, there are other dealers.

Something to think about, How big is your truck and trailer to haul your loader/backhoe?

Besides being old, that is also a very small light machine that was assembled rather than designed from the beginning to be a tractor loader backhoe. What type of projects do you need to use it for?

Unless you really enjoy repairing breakdowns, renting a more capable machine or hiring the work done might be less expensive and much much quicker.
