My 4000 diesel runs good but but when I open it up to about half thratal it starts screaming farly loud, I think it's a baring but i'm not shur, any sugestions. Thanks in advance.

I'd check to see if it was a belt or pulley on an external pump or genny.. etc.

take a can of wd-40 and shoot the center of each pulley hub if the squeal stops.. you found it.

If you have a candle. you can hold it to the drive side of a belt and if it is a squeaky belt.. that will help it sometimes.

Safety alert! don't get your hands sucked into the belt/fan!

My 850 used to scream and it turned out to be a cracked manifold. It would only scream at half to full throttle. I thought it was a belt or bearing but finally located the source by holding a piece of conduit to my ear and pointing it to the various engine areas.

Had a waterpump bearing go out. Periodically heard this screaming but couldn't locate it till one day I just happen to be looking at the fan and it was wobbling; no water leaking. Grasp the blade and could rock the shaft back and forth. New pump solved the squeal.
