I have a 39 B that somebody didnt think the tractor needed them. Linkage to open and close thkem is gone also. I would like to find a set so I could cntrol the tempature.

These were used when running tractor fuel (distillate) to keep the engines temp. up to keep the engine running. If you are running liquid gold, I mean gasoline, you need not worry about the louvers.

Actually, their called shutters. They were prone to going to pot and not working. When I use my tractors in cold weather, I just let a trash bag suck fast to the grille after I start the tractor and adjust it to control temp. Warm engines last longer. It isn't preety but it is cheap and works.

I have louvers on my '50 B...they are operated from the front of the tractor with a small crank that sticks out the side of the grill housing. Unless you lube and use them all the time, they seize up and you have to take the hood and grill off to fix...a real pain.
