LX 565 Skidloader cold weather

The only machine I use daily is a New Holland LX 565 skidloader. It has been roughing rough the last few days in the cold. It is a diesel and we have added anti gel additive to the fuel. It starts up and runs pretty good about 15 minutes but then it starts to run sluggish after that. What does this mean????? I inspected the fuel filter and it was clean and this only happens when it is really cold. It sits inside a unheated shed but it out of the wind and elements. Any ideas as chores are a real pain without the skid loader.

Sounds like you are using summer diesel and it is too thick to go thru the filters fast enough. You may need to mix some no 1 with it.

When it starts acting up, take the fuel cap off and see if it smartens up... It usually takes about 15 minutes of light use for it to put a good vacuum on the tank when the cap breather is plugged.

You may be getting fuel gelled in the filter. My Gehl did that a while ago, and mixing #1 in did not help- filter was already gelled. Needs to thaw out. Two hours with the hair dryer did it. I don"t like changing filters on it because it is so hard to re-prime, so thawing it out was a better choice. Works fine now, even when below zero.
