M John Deere

I have no idea what an M John Deere is worth so I bought one anyway. The guy needed the money and I gave him $1200 for it and a blade. It runs, missing battery door. Wide front. Just wondered how bad I got hit, LOL.

They are plentiful on the east coast & not very collectable, 12 sounds like a good price.

Can't tell condition from the picture, but if it runs good and you can use it, then you got a great price, IMO. What else can you buy new for $1200? Even if it's just for a hobby, you still got a great price when you consider the crazy high prices people get when parting out these tractors.

I paid $2,000 for my MT in good running condition with good paint and tires, a No.5 mower and 2 bottom plow so I'd say you didn't do bad for $1,200. Those front hub caps are available as re-pops or you can find originals on ebay as well as the battery doors for pretty cheap money. The grill looks nice and straight. It will be easier to work on that your 60 project was this winter!

My 60 project is pretty much done, a few parts to sell off the one and it's over. It's a 730 ED now, but I hope it's not too bad. All original paint, so just find a few good used and used looking parts, won't paint if for anything, only about 5,000 hrs on it.

May keep it, we put out about 50 acres grass twice a year and maybe it will pull a FB-B drill, don't know, but it it will it will be a gas mizer.
