If I want to make a M a division 2 or 2t. 45 to 5500lbs puller and kept 13.6 on it how much horsepower would I need to be competitive. What if I went to a 14.9 would that require more power

thanks

Right around 100hp with good wide power band, lugging is important.I have puller all over the country, many tough tractors out there.LOL

Upgrading huh Jamie did me and the talk of bringing an Ollie to the club make ya nervous?LOL But seriously my dad runs m s with the super M overbore and shaved the head very little and he places top 2 almost every pull he is going to put on dyno before this season starts and i will let you know how many ponies they are making

Haha never been afraid of any tractor before, just seeing how much it would cost to build a M.
I wish I had the money get a wd 45 or a Co-op E3 or farmall 300 something nobody has in the club and make a puller out of that
but hopefully after this season I can get motor rebuilt in the super H and then re paint it and it will be all restored

r u going to the pull in Lincoln in March?

yes I am going to try to make it down there. I was just kidding I was really interested in a coop also since not everyone has them but i here parts are hard to get and expensive

If you are talking NATPA, there is a huge difference between D2 and D2T, D2T tractors are old D3 tractors with top cut tires. Probably need 50% more horsepower.
