m pulling hitch

Check out the pictures at the link below of Farmall hitches. In my opinion, the first picture and the last picture on the page are probably the best designs for easy adjustment.

Farmall Hitches

Here is a cheap, easy and effective set up. I removed the draw bar supports and replaced them with cat I/II top links. The wheelie bars are 6'' drop hitches with 1'' bolts with 5x5'' plates welded on. The hitch plate was made by a friend. Everything bolts together quickly, so if you go to a stock pull you can change back. I purchased most of the parts at Harbor Freight, $20 apiece for each top link and hitch. With 3/4'' hardware I have just under a $100 invested plus time. This setup can also be used with the belly mount draw bar if required. Hope this helps!

Not to knock your work but I have seen a hitch setup like that break and the tractor flip over. One of the bolts on the bottom side of the axle broke and the hitch kept raising so did the wheely bars. I know ther are a lot set up like this but it would be better with a peace going up to the pivot for the swinging draw bar.

I agree you could add a bar to the belly mount, I have also seen a chain with d-rings used between the belly mount and draw bar. I used the lower set of holes on my brackets so there is no pivot point above the center of the axle, a bad idea in general! This setup is used under 6mph, not ment to be used on an open class tractor.
