M602 distributor #s

I was checking into an electronic ignition kit for my M602 on this site and others.I am not finding my distributor number.I found a 1112926 and a serial number on the breaker plate inside.No tags on the outside of the housing.I am finding numbers on both sides of mine listed.I thought a M670 would have been the same-guess not.Anybody run into this?Do I have the wrong numbers?Thanks Moline

I cannot exactly help you tonite, my M5 parts book calls for a Delco 1112629 dist. and my M670 parts book lists a Delco 1112661 for gas and 1112660 for LPG. Tomorrow I can go look at my M602-LP and see if it has a tag on it. Kinda odd the M5 would have the 6 and 9 reversed from what you have.

Well I looked again with my glasses off--you are correct.I read it wrong.I must not have been able to get it far enough from me to see it!I still run into the same problem.However on one site,they dont care about the number.They just want to know direction of rotation,# of cylinders,and voltage with ground polarity.
Just for the record,my eyesight is fine--my arms are just getting shorter LOL Thanks

I went out and looked at the M602-LP and can find no numbers on it at all. Removed the cap but could not get the rotor off the shsft to get the dust cover out of the way. Didn't try too hard as I didn't need to break the rotor. No numbers visible on the M670-LP dist. either, could have been the remains of a label around the small part of the dist. One big difference in the M602 and M670, the M602 cap was held on with clips and the M670 cap is held on with two screws. I can pull the cap off the M670 and check for rotation direction if needed.
