For the Coleman axle, You can go to IH and get them. THey used the same axle. THey are pricey!

They are the same, but a guy in Tennessee bought out all of American colemans inventory years ago and is selling them much cheaper. His hame is Bob Harmon and it is a 4x4 truck place. I'll have to look up his humber when I get home.

I have a 604 diesel here in Australia. A rare beast - I don't know of any others. Were there two types of front axles used ? Mine appears to have an Eaton diff and no boots. I assume it isn't a Coleman.

It is a Coleman, they used Eaton differentials and American Coleman outer hubs. The boots are probably just missing. The American coleman outer hubs had a large hub cap and contained a compensating yoke and ring inside for the axle joint.

Thanks, David. All makes sense. Just had a look at the parts book and can see them there (didn"t have it with me when I posted). It was used in forestry work - they probably got ripped off years ago.
