M610 Bobcat skid loader drive belt R & R

Can anyone help me with how to replace the drive belt on the 610 Bobcat skid steer? I have the manuals, but they lack how to get the drive belt back between the sheeves.

There is a coupling on the driven shaft that you take apart to get the belt on there.
On the engine , the variable speed thing has to come off to split the pulley.

Yep. Done that. Connecting block replaced (split shaft). Belt on driven shaft and on drive shaft. Or do I have to put it on the driven pully (sheeves) and then on to the drive shaft? Is there a way to widen the driven pulley gap?

Maybe you already have the job done but I will add
this. I have never worked on one of those so just
applying what I see in the video and mechanical
knowledge gained working with other belt type
variable speed systems. By the video seeing the belt
installed the back pulley where the hydraulic hose is
shown connecting is spread open. (I think it is
mounted on the engine) eSo that is the pulley I would
put it on first. If you pull the hydraulic line and looped
the belt over and reconnected it this may be your
problem. That fitting may have to be open expel oil or
draw in air while you are spreading that pulley. Looking
at the rest of the video I see a fairly heavy spring
forcing the front pulley together, this is common on
many of these systems. So forcing those front sheaves
apart will take some effort with a pry bar. I really do not
think this needs to be done if you get the motor end as
wide as it will go. Put the belt on the motor end and
push it down to the center of the sheaves as you force
it apart. If really need be you could get it set in as
much of the front groove as possible and then if
disconnect the coil wire and bump the starter to roll
the belt on. I would think if that needed to be done the
video guy would have shown it. Ya, I hope he is better
at running his Bobcat than he is at making videos on
how to repair it.

I have a 610 and have put the belt on a couple of times.
Once the belt is in place and the jack shaft block tighten
back on, I have found it easier to loop a strap around the
driven sheaves with the belt in place. Attach the hooks to
something solid, then ratchet it tight. The strap will
spread the sheaves enough to get the other end of the
belt over the engine sheaves.

The ratchet strap goes around the belt on the driven
sheaves. The strap ends are back behind the bobcat
attached to the frame or something that wont move as
you tighten the strap. The driven sheaves will spread
apart enough to pull the belt on the engine sheaves.

Its hard for me to explain verbally and I apologize.

I gotcha and I'm going to try that tomorrow and will let you know.
Thanks very much!

That worked perfect! Why didn't I think of that... Thanks Rusty!!:)

How did we ever survive before ratchet straps?
