a while back i posted that my J D B was having problems thought it was carb, put new one on, nope was advised to check valves lash, nope, it was the mag when it get hot spits and sputter put hot mag and it runs like a striped zebra

So you're saying you installed a different mag and your B now runs like it should.

Don't what you paid for the new mag but if you had replaced the coil in your old mag for about $50 to $60 your B would be running just as good as it is now.
