THE POWERS THAT BE HAVE DECIDED TO HAVE A DIFFERENT SLED AT BECKEMEYER,IL ON JUNE 5TH SORRY TO THOSE INCONVIENCED BY THIS CHANGE

only reason 4 sled change- was no scale guarantee by MAHNKE&could not risk it. TO get extra scale by itself was to exspensive, so we went with LARRY STEPHENS 4 guarantee. THIS IS A BENEFIT PULL NOT 4 PROFIT. NO scale-NO pull! BY the way terry hayes whats wrong with orange sled?

If you boys cant start LARRYS sled at half throttle you have a prolem. My grandson strated it with my stock SUPPER C I strated it with my stock C.If you look at his schedule he proably has more pulls then any other sled in this part of country. You know you will get a fair shake.I have pulled on different parts of KY MO IN IL and when i didint win it was my fault not the sled.LEROY BRAVE

al mahnke told us he was not sure if he would have scale ready for the pull he could not promise a scale so we went with plan b nobodies fault but mahnkes! we will be running two sleds that day. hope this clears up the issue.

Orange sled to hard to start??? If your talking about Al's what are you pulling? A lawn mower? Jeez I've hooked to it in 3500 with a stock JD 40, pressed steels wheels and no weights and had no problem at all starting it. Now when he throws that wight on the front of it in the heavier classes maybe but I've always thought it pulled good.

Red one isn't too bad either although I've only hooked to it twice.I'm guessing you still have the red one Cale....

Larry Stephens sled is orange and it is a bear to get moving in 3500 class Manke sled is easy to start and it is orange to maybe if they painted it a different color it would be easier to pull just thinking alittle to much no i mean drinking to much

I have a very strong SuperC for a 3500lb class and the A.C. sled is the hardest starting sled that I have ever hooked to, also when they guide you half way down the track before they drop the pan....They are the ones doing the pulling not you!!! Might as well just stay home!!

If you see would I replied to the one above which meant I was referring to the AC sled.

LCB,

Don't you remember how much trouble everyone had in the 3500 lb class at Greenville????

The only reason I go to that one is to help out the museum and support your pull....it is not for the sled that you chose to have.

In my opinion, Cale and Al have the best two sleds in our area by a long shot.

please everybody lets stop bickering, theres nothing against either sled guys AL MAHNKE or LARRY STEPHENS. WE did what we needed-to do insure 2 sleds and scale. Hopefully next year we,ll have our own scale, then maybe we can take turns,i dont know? I,ll be glad to listen to everyones input day of pull. BOTTOM LINE is if U really want to pull you will show up no matter who-s sled is there,we are all in it to have fun not make money and this is a benefit early season pull. WE WANT everyone to have fun & appreciate everyone who shows up. There will be plenty of food&beer day of pull so come on out&have a good time, thankyou! P.S. we are starting antiques out at 4000lbs. SORRY.

You proably wont get option here so you will only get one shot at it.Why no 3500 dont you like ther money I thought it was all green.

Brian juist read your post.If you cant beat my H with your M you proably have troble strating any sled. HA HA I see you at Beckmire and see if yuo can pull with us BIG BOYS.Later LEROY
