I have the opportunity to purchase this tractor from my grandmas neighbor for the low low price of 1200 dollars not for sale for anybody else just wants somebody to use it enough to justify having it and not scrapping it. he's been the second owner since 1977. not sure of the year on this tractor, but it has a Massey loader and a bush hog brand rotary cutter. how many plow bottoms could it pull, could it pull 4 bottoms. could it pull a 10 foot disk. it has the Perkins diesel. not sure of hours going Sunday to look at it.

Yes on 10ft disc, 3 bottom plow

Gardener I think that tractor will pull 2 bottom plow 14 s Kentuk soil . Better check what you neighbors are using .
And a much smaller disc.
You’re going to need more ballast on the rears if it doesn’t have.

do I want a 3 point plow or can I buy a little genuis 2 bottom
If you have loose sandy loam soil 3-14s might work. It is really best with a 2-14s mounted plow. Plowing speed is important and going slow, pulling hard is harder on the drivetrain and leaves more clods. The reduced speed makes using a 2 bottom nearly comparable. If in the condition you state with fair rear tires get it home. Jim

Depends on tires, soil, ballast, etc. it might or might not pull 3 bottoms or a 10-foot disc. Two bottoms more likely certain and 8-foot disc if the soil isn't soft enough that the disc runs in axle deep.

i helped him put new tires on last spring before I joined here

$1,200 is current scrap price for a MF 135 not running. It was voted the best overall tractor Massey Ferguson ever built. I still have the 2-14" H.Ferguson 3-pt plow I used with my TO20. The 135 pulled it easily, as the 135 was designed to pull 3-14". The only downside is, you need weighted tires since the tractor weighs 3,845#.
