i need an oil filter for a massey harris 44 tractor and my local tractor parts dealer says he can not get it any help will be useful on were i can get one or a part number that i can use.

The NAPA part number is 1090. I believe this is also the Wix number is 51090. Go to your local auto parts store. Even if they aren"t a NAPA or Wix dealer, they should be able to cross reference one of these numbers.

Wix no longer makes that filter. A NAPA 1092 will work. The diameter is a little smaller, but it fits fine and gasket is right.

I just went through all of this, I have 44 And 444 with same filters. I bought last three Napa 1090"s in The USA as they told me $ 17.00 a piece, as they was being shipped across the Us I did find a man named DAVE at"Fairview Farm Supply" in Ohio # 419-822-871 , He was able to get some in from Lubri-Fiener brand For $8.00+ each. Fram May Be running more after first of the year, no more Wix, or Hastings. GOOD Luck RUSTY,734-475-1910
