i have a 40b that is having trouble turning right. if i crank up the rpms i can get it to turn but it takes awhile. it turns fine to the left. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That is usually caused by the left cylinder piston seal letting the oil bypass. Those cylinders can usually be repaired with a seal kit if you can find one. It is the left cylinder that causes it to not turn to the right just in case you thought I made a mistake there.
