Massey Harris 50

A guy I know in GA has offered me this MH 50 for scrap price..... maybe $300-ish? He got it with 5 Ford tractor a few years ago,knows nothing about it. Seems too good to pass up. I believe it's a row crop version?

The row crop has 38 inch rear wheels, the utility has 28 or maybe 24 inch rear wheels.

Worth taking a chance on and the 38 inch rear wheels were not very common at least around here.

Once you own it PURCHASE the proper SERVICE MANUAL........
This was an original MF Service manual............
Models 50,35,T035 etc etc..
I pulled three 14" bottom plow with my MF 35 X Perkins Diesel...First Gear / High Range..

Neighbor across the road pulled the same plow with his MH 50.......Third Gear / low range.

MH 50 was a very good Tractor in my area....

I have no experience with the MH 50 GASOLINE ENGINE.

Buy it. The Massey Hariss 50 shares all the parts with the Massey Ferguson 50 except for the hood. Great little tractor most have a two-stage clutch for the PTO. It doesn't appear to have the remote hydraulic valve fitted, but they are available. There is great aftermarket part support, also shares a lot of parts with the MF 35 and 135.

The Ferguson f40 is same tractor. Only hood and paint is different. Built on same assembly line.
