Melvin Bennet

Big Celebration tomorrrow to honor Mel! 50 years as a CASE mechanic at the same location. Waltz dealership near Williamsport, PA I just can"t imagine this happening to many people. This is a great honor. Just think of all the changes Mel has seen over the years! And all the equipment he has worked on! I was one year old when Mel started in 1962. Mel has been and still is the "go to guy" at work and after work. And the thing that is better than this is, Mel himself. What a GREAT CHRISTIAN gentleman that really lives out his Faith. I count it an honor to know him and call him my friend!

WOW!!!! 50- yrs at anyjob is a major accomplishment but at the same dealership is outstanding. CONGRADULATION Mr. Bennet, Kenny.

I could not have said it better Brad. Mel it was good to talk to you on the phone the other evening congrats and may the wrenches turn easy as you continue working and playing CASE tractors GOD Bless. Jim

Congratulations Mel, not many people only work for one company our whole career in this day and age.

One of these days, I am going to take a month and do a Case pilgimage and come see a bunch of you fine folks (especially you Mel) I correspond with. Its good to consider you Case folks friends!

Jim

Great post Brad, As long as I can remember if we have had any problems with our excavation equipment or tractors, my dad will always say lets go to Waltz's and see Melvin he will know how to fix it. Almost every time he will have the answer immediately and if he doesn't he will think on it a while and come up with it. Mel is a great guy and im thankful to have his knowledge so close and available to me, Thanks Mel. Congrats on your 50 years of hard work and dedication to your job and to helping others.

Congratulations mEl, and thanks for always being helpful. I'm sure I'll be dialing you up again when I get around to bolting up that 504 to the 400/930 transmission-clutch housing combo!

Enjoy your celebration! GOD bless you!

Wow!!! please pass on my congrates for his sevice to the farmers of the area. As a boy I remember my dad going to the case dealer and go in the back and talk to a old man, I don't ever remember seeing him without grease-n-oil on his hands. We'd leave dad would say "don't know what he do without Clint. He knows farm equiment "inside-n-out" sounds to me Mel was just like Clint. Sorry or babbing. God Bless

Nicely said. I hope Mel has recovered from his ailments last year, and that he is purring along like a well tuned 504. He and I have and had some very good mutual friends in Case Co, When we started the company people were friends., and even problems were fun to solve. My hat is off to Mel for his passion for his profession. Congrats Mel.
Loren.

Congratulations mEl. It would be nice to know half of what he knows about Case. Hope he has another 50 years playing with Case. Thanks for all your posts helping people with Case. We all learn from you.

Mel, Congratulations! I look forward to meeting you, saving money for some engine work on my DC Purple Reign. Thanks for all the advice, it took no time to figure out who the Man was to go to! Some say I have too much tire, I say just too little engine, Jus wait til Mel get a hold of it!

It's always been obvious that Mel knew what he was talking about, now I know why!!Congradulations, your advice is always worth reading!!!

Great Job MELVIN. I like the part about "GREAT CHRISTIAN gentleman living out his faith". There are so many people who don't know what a christian is. Someone dedicated to Jesus is one who will be dedicated to his friends and his job. He will always be looking to help others find Jesus for forgiveness and Eternal Life. It is for everyone on planet Earth but there be so few that find it. Just ask for it like Mel did and you will have it all. Great job on the Case tractors Mel, and Great Testimony. Looks like you have made a lot of friends. ---Derrol in Texas---

Thanks guys for all the kind words, Fifty years seems to have gone by fairly quickly as I look back. The 00 series was out in the late 50's and the 30 series was the new kid on the block when I was. My experience with all those series tractors was the basis for my knowledge growth. Our dealership sold many Utility line tractors, hoe/loader combinations and my hydraulic knowledge was gained on them as they were much more complex than the Ag side back then, now the difference has narrorowed to the point that both use closed center hydraulics, the ag line was first in this respect.

Anyway, I would like to say thanks for all the nice things said in these few posts.

Brad probably bragged me up a bit more than I deserve, I'm just a man whom God has been very gracious to. Unfortantely I fall far short at times but my goal is to please HIM. I give him praise for allowing me to grasp mechanical concepts rather easily and I hope to be able to share that with all you guys on here.

John, sorry you had to find out the truth about my age from someone else. LOL.

Again, thanks.

mEl

Congrats on 50 yrs, you are fortunate to have found a profession you enjoy. Says a lot for the dealer you work for also, treating someone well enough to stay in employment so long. regards john
