MF 135 top link hitting draft

First of all I would like to thank Big Dean, John at Ferguson Tractor, and everybody else that helped me fix the lift on my 135. Now to my new problem. I bought a top link from the co-op (since the tractor didn't have one when I bought it). When I adjust it, to make whatever implement I am using sit level, and lift the three point hitch all the way up, the threads on the top link hit the yoke that controls the draft control. When I replaced the first one, I adjusted the stop for the position control so it wouldn't hit again. I would like to get a little more height so the disk will lift higher so it will not hit the ground if I go up a hill. I was wondering if this is just how it is or do I have the wrong top link, or does somebody have a fix for it. Thanks, Matt

Hello Matthew,
This can happen when implements are designed ideally for larger tractors.
First of all move the DRAFT control lever into the fully lowered position. Check that there is no end float in the yoke. If there is you will loose lift ultimately. Check whether you have any alternate holes in the lower lift arms that will give you more lift. Check also the condition of the bolts/bushes and balls in the lower arms. All of these will loose height capability. Ensure that the stop at the end of the POSITION Control quadrand is set so that the relief valve does not blow at full lift. The stop is important.
If you have end-float in the linkage please come back and we will go through the adjusting procedure.

Hi, thanks for the response. I don"t think I explained myself properly. The tractor itself will lift the implements/three point hitch as high as I want, but the thing that limits it is the toplink hitting the yoke when it gets to a certain point. I had to adjust the position control stop down to prevent the tractor from lifting too high and breaking the toplink again. It doesn"t seem like the implement is getting to full lift, but it is because the toplink is hitting the yoke. I guess I was mainly wondering if I am missing a piece that would connect the yoke to the top link and let the toplink pivot behind the yoke. Thanks, Matt
