hi
my father recently past away and we are trying figure out what to do with his mf 202. According to the ser #, 307532, its a 1962.
The reality is that the tractor is in rough shape. The rear tires are shot and the rear seals maybe leaking. The paint is barely there.
Any ideas on what the value may be?

thanks for the help.

I have a 202 under restoration. I brought a parts tractor to use for parts for $200 with everthing but the motor and what wasn"t was attached to it. I think if you don"t want to fix it it may be better to part it out. If you do part it out and its a gas Continental Z134. I need a power steering pump.

hi i also am restoring a MF202 1964 it's in good shape with a fresh engine rebuild. it has a tight loader but bad hyd rear pump ,power steering issues also. gas Z134 engine i just paid 2800. for it. good luck with yours.

Hey Zimm...

I am in the same situation... My father passed away a couple years back, but just managed to pick up his old 63 MF202 this last weekend.

Though she's not in horrible shape, it will need a ton of work. Being that it was my old man's, I would like to restore her.

I've been watching for parts donors, and found the value on these vary from a couple hundred for beaters, up to 5+K for decent runners.

Good Luck!

Couple hundred to $5K is about right. 2 questions in my mind-if it has sentimental value, fix it or keep it from getting worse until you can. If it has functionality you need, fix it. I bought one rough and went all through it. I've got more in it than I could get out of it, but I know what I've got and can't get anything comparable for anywhere close. It's a strong loader tractor with 3 pt. If you decide to part it, I could use the side curtain sheet metal and a hood latch, if not the entire hood. Good luck

Sorry, long winded. Meant to tell you that just about all parts are available on these from a good Massey dealer and many/most are also available from on-line aftermarket dealers. I had my seals done last year, dissassybled myself and took the axles in. Re-lined the brakes while I was at it as they were soaked with oil from the leaking seals. I think the whole shooting match was under $400 and the labor on my end wasn't bad at all. I also just replaced both rear rims and wheels. Rims were $100 ea, got lucky and found good factory blemish industrial rear tires for $600/pr. With labor to pump out and dismount the old I think I had a little over $1000 in rears. Put about $2500 in the engine overhaul 5 years ago. Only thing I haven't gone completely through and replaced with new is the steering, tranny, and front/rear hydraulic systems as they're all running strong. I like that it's built like a brick s***house. When I fix it good and use it responsibly, I know I'm probably never going to have to fix it again.
