MF 275 diesel injections pump

We took the CAV diesel injection pump off our 275 to be rebuilt. There are two lines on the top of the pump, one at the front and one at the rear, that go over to the fuel filter on the other side of the tractor. The lines will not separate from the fittings on the pump. We had to remove the pump's fittings to get it out. It seems like these should separate but, for some reason, will not. Are they supposed to? Has anyone else had this problem?

The line rubber sleeves are compressed. I use a pick to break up the old sleeves so the line can come out. New sleeves go back with each pump I send out.

Thanks for the info. The pump is held on to the tractor with three bolts on the outside. There are also three bolts on the front side of the pump. They were under a cover that had to be removed first. Is there a certain way the bolts under the cover need to be reinstalled so the timing is correct?
