Here are a couple pics of my Massy 300 combine.

That is a nice looking machine. It looks like a late-model.

We used to have one with a 225 Chrysler engine . I have vivid memories of cutting wheat one summer when the temperature was 100+ and terrible humidity. I had the door open and the window to my right, but was still miserably hot sitting beside that cherry-red exhaust manifold.

THANKS for the pictures! Brings back a lot of fond, and a few not-so-fond memories. My dad bought a used gasser when I was little--maybe 3-4. Young as I was, I can still remember going with him into the MF dealer's shop on a Saturday morning (shop was closed but the parts counter and sales dept. was open) to see it for the first time, the dealer owner flipping on the lights....and there she sat. It is such a small combine by today's standards, but with that 222 corn head sticking out there it looked like a giant "land shark!" It burned up in the field and was replaced with a used diesel with quick-attach heads. In my mind I can still hear the "whrrrrr" of the variable speed when you sped up or slowed down, and the "shikka shikka shikka" of the grain rattling back and forth in the grain pan. I'll forget about the time the beater shaft wrung in two in heavy corn...

I used to have 2 of these 300's when cutting fescue in summer i would take that big cab filter off and put gallon jugs of frozen water and even tried blocks of dry ice, it would help. I bought them as a pair cant say I miss them much. Sure liked the sound of those slant 6 gassers with a straight pipe.

The heat hasn't been much of a problem this year. I have tried to seal up all the cracks to keep the dust out. Right now the radiator is out of it. I didn't have much nice to say about it while I was taking the radiator out. The fan shroud came apart and went through the radiator. I had to have mine recored. $650 later we should be running by Saturday.

you need a half inch socket and ratchet ,,. loosen the upper track and out come the windows ,, then you can easily slide the door off the track to ,get good air movin thru ,,
