MF 35 remote hydraulics

I have a 1961 MF 35 with a Z134 engine.
I would like to install a crank driven hydraulic pump on the front bumper.Has anyone had any experience with this? All i need is a small pump, I want to run a singel outlet out the back for a remote cylinger.I do not want to use the tractor hydraulic system.

I built one for the loader that was on my MF-135. I used a 5 gpm pump and it was just fine. You need an oil reservoir (also acts as a cooler), to hold about a minute's supply of oil. I made a flange that bolted to the crankshaft pulley with a 3/4" hex weld a hub. I made a shaft out of 3/4" hex that I turned round to go through the front axle pivot pin and used a flexible coupling to the pump shaft which I mounted on a shelf that bolted to the front of the tractor. I had to notch the lower radiator shroud to have room for the pump. My loader used a leg of the lower frame for an oil reservoir. You also need a pressure relief valve for an open center system, that is usually part of the remote control valve.

Thanks for the information.I have a weight bumper that I was planing on mounting the pump to.I thought at one time I saw a shaft offered through a website that would screw into the end of the crankshaft.Of coarse I can not find it now.

The pulley on mine had three or four bolt holes in its face. So I turned a flange to fit. Its handy having a little metal lathe for such projects, but I'm sure there have been commercial parts available for adding the front pump.

My MF-135 shows the pulley with the flange and three bolt holes stock. Its held to the shaft (keyed) with a 5/8 x 1-1/4" NF bolt. That's for the Z134 and Z145 engines (Special and Deluxe MF-135 models). Same pulley and bolt part numbers.

The trouble with something threaded into the shaft is that the hydraulic pump load would unthread it.

Look at all the places like YT that sell MF accessories (don't totally neglect Ford 8N parts) for a front pump kit. I can't list them and get this posted.
