MF 50 utility price range?

There's an MF 50 for sale in my nearby town in apparently fair condition; didn't have a chance to call the number on the tractor yet to ask specifics.
Can someone with MF knowledge tell me what price range these models sell for? I live in Minnesota. (It has remote hydraulics, and one fairly poor rear tire.)

Depends. This time of the year and with current economic situation, they're selling at the low end of the scale right now. Seen 'em sell lately (here in Kentucky) for less than $3000. In normal times and closer to summer, as much as $4500 for average condition. 50's are popular here and prices reflect that. Not sure about other areas of the country

My neighbor bought one with a nice "professional" paint job that ran nicely for $2600 this Summer. It has 3-point and PTO. See "Massey-Harris 50" in "Tractor Photos" It is a "row crop" model.

Thanks for the comments. Very few of these models around here, but it looks like a nice simple machine, with the 3 x 2 trans.
I'm going to call the number that was left on the tractor, and see if I can find out some details as to price, etc.

If the tractor is diesel, and has power steering $3000, if its gas, I think I would hold out for diesel, always been better tractors.
