can anybody tell me if I remove front loader on my 50c can I hook the pump back to itself to move the tractor? The loader is a 300a
Without the loader frame, which has the control valve plumbing and reservoir for the pump circuit, you need to uncouple the front pump so it is not turning, or you highly risk destroying the pump.I might have to split the tractor so I want to take complete loader and rops off
Not if you remove the shaft from the adapter on the crankshaft. The shaft may have a left-hand thread holding it in the crankshaft adapter. Others may be keyed or splined.if I remove the pump is there going to be a exposed shaft.
Looking at the 300A parts book it shows the Left-hand thread on the engine end of the shaft. The pump end appears splined. You seem to be very knowledgeable I was cleaning my driveway and lost reverse (instant reverse) thats why I might have to spit. I thank you very much for any info.
Getting a hold on it to turn it may be the biggest problem. some have made splined adapters, with a hex nut on one end, to fit into the pump end of the shaft so they can use an impact wrench to break the shaft threads free.do you think it will be in issue to take apart?
If you need a tool to get pump shaft out let me know. if you can't find one
Still have one laying around here somewhere
