Mf135 Mf135 special

In the early production of US built 135's, there was a 135 custom and a 135 standard. The custom was a low cost alternative to the standard. Where the 135 standard differed was, it used the Continental Z134 where the Standard used the Z145. Also, the custom had a pan seat, fewer gauges, single stage clutch, and normally came without lighting and power steering was not an option. Not sure exactly when the custom disappeared from the option list, but I would suspect it was around the time when the Continental gas engines were replaced by the Perkins gassers.

Parts books don't always show the single stage clutch.

Meant to add, from a couple early (1965 and 1966) Massey Ferguson "product guides" I have, the correct terms were MF135 Custom (low budget version) and MF135 Deluxe (standard version)

My parents 68 MF135 has a dual stage clutch, SI/SO wheels, traction lock, fuel gauge, regular cushioned seat, full ights, and a Z134. Kinda confusing.
