MF50 brake drum

I have been trying to get the brake drum off my MF50 for about a week now. Have keep it sprayed down with PB blaster. I have hammered it with a sledge hammer to no avail. I am afraid I am going to break something and am out of ideas. Have been unable to find a giant gear puller big enough for the job. I do not want to break the drum.

I sometimes have luck with large hammer from the front side, side where the screws were, kind of gets the drum ringing and it starts to move

Ralph,
I'm not sure about the 50 but all 35s and 135's had tapped holes in between the wheel stud holes to insert bolts to assist with removal. The holes are 7/16 unc. If you have them remove two of the bolts that hold the steering box cover down. Fit these and apply sensible pressure. It won't take a lot to strip the threads in the drum. If you can get a little movement gentle tapping either side of the bolt diameter across the drum usually works. The outside of the drum is likely to be too fragile to get any real pull on.

First make sure you have the brakes backed off all the way. Then if you have a air hammer. Go around the center hole of the drum. You don't have to hit hard just get a good vibration going and it should pop. We use air hammers on drums and tie rod ends and what ever at work. It's amazing what will come lose with one.
