MH 50 Identification

I just acquired a MH 50 and need help with identification. The serial plate has SHGM 510328. What does the SHGM represent? It was a factory LP tractor but the vaporizer, carburator and fuel guage are missing. Where is the best place to find these parts?
Thanks,
Jim

Yours is a 1956. The S-utility, H-high altitude
G-gas, M-dual clutch. Seems like the G should be
a B for LP. Not all LP's were factory. I remember
local gas companies offering conversions. I am
unsure where to get parts. Chuck

My SN charts for the Massey-Harris 50, produced by Massey-Harris-Ferguson, do not show any LP models produced in 1956. The first LP models of that tractor were produced after the tractor became known as the Massey Ferguson 50 in 1958.

Your best bet is to find a tractor salvage yard that has a MF 50/65 with a factory equipped LP system.
