misc nos fuel pumps

Question... does any one have a cross reference book for older fuel pumps on older cars/ trucks.. I have a crap load of them but have no idea what they fit. Some have a sediment bowl on the bottom. My dad got them in a trade 15 yrs ago and they were older then... I want to also find a place that I can list them for sale later..Probably Ebay but I need to know what they fit first...
Thanks

If these fuel pumps are that old, if someone would try to use the, TODAYS fuel will make short work on the internal rubber parts. You might sell them as cores to www.then-now.com or call 1-781-335-1579 after 10 AM eastern time. The make rebuild kits for fuel pump. They might be interested in the pump bodies.

Thanks Guys for the quick response... I will get some of the numbers, but I think that contacting that company might be the best!
Thank again!

Hi:

While you are looking up the parts for Glenn, can you also look one up for me?

The truck the fuel pump is from is a 63 Merc M500 and the info on the pump is M01463 (last digit could be an 8) and the name on the pump is Carburetor.

I would like to find a rebuild kit for this pump (since it is the rebuild-able kind) and what other manufactures pump it crossed to.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

FWIW, your pump is a "Carter".

Their trademark was a combined version of "Carter" and "carburetor".

Does this one look like your's... it's for the 226.

I can't help you with kit #s. Try Hemmings Motor News under Services. You might find a rebuilder who knows something.
The Bosch 68440 crosses to Carter #M3553 and Airtex #4208. For $33.00 USD why not just buy a new pump? Good luck.

Hi Bob:

Yes the bodies are similar. My understanding is that the pump arm is what differentiate one similar pump from another. More specifically it is the length and angle of the pump arm.

I would like to find a replacement diaphragm for this pump.

Thanks
