Miss in 460??

86 F350 with the "fuel saver" 460. Idle is perfect. On acceleration I get some sort of miss. Will also run rough at high rpm while sitting at standstill. You can feel it and hear it in the exhaust. So far, new plugs and just put on a new carb--no change. Started to change the plug wires, got one side done, no change yet. Left are 4 wires, coil, pickup coil, rotor, dist cap, and module box. What is the best bet?? Thanks

of the 4 choises, finish changing the rest of the wires then do the cap and rotor,

take a compression test .

Glad to report 460 is now back on track. Finished changing plug wires, then took a look in the dist. Woo--the new vac advance somebody had put on was not even hooked up inside so no timing advance. I sure thought it was a pretty sluggish engine. LB

you mite need a fuel filter look at it
