Hello guys ran across a super 670 gas today ser#29903726 recent overhaul 100 hrs ago original paint at probably 60-70% sheetmetal is REAL STRAIGHT no dents anywhere i could see, evertything works as it should, has 5600 hrs on it. 10A22196 blocks and 10A4230 heads. New carb, and manifold when overhauled also. He says the sprag clutch doesnt work right part of the time on the low side, is this costly? what would be a good price? thanks for any info.

Aint you bought that thing yet? I'm gonna go hunting for it today! Just Kidding. Did you find out if it was the low side actually slipping or was it acting up on the high side? That would make alot of difference.

If it just slips once in awhile, it is possible he didn't let it warm up before he put it in the low side. A very good torq can slip if you do not let it warm up like the decal says. I have tractors that I farm with that have sliped once in a while for the last 10 years. Kick the foot clutch in, let it out easy give the torq clutch a chance to grip, and it will run in the field pulling all day. Unless you have a lot of money and time you want to spend, it is not a big problem.
Also if you change the fluid from 80-90 to all purpose trans-hyd fluid it will make a big difference.
