Modified Farmall MD pulling tractor?

A friend of mine claims he saw a hot farm or modified Farmall MD pulling tractor. I would like to see pics or talk to the person that owns this machine. If this exists could someone please point me in the correct direction to find more information. My email is open also.

go to you tube and type in eric prewitt and there is a video of this m it is owned by ted dibble and has aluminum sheetmetal. Ted builds all kinds of aluminum metal for tractors really nice work. The tractor has been converted to methanol.

I probably dont have the tractor you are talking about, but I have one that could be classified as a hot farm. It is 300cid, 6.5:1 CR, single turbo, holley carb(race gas, water injection. It pulls 4200RPM in 4th gear.

I am still trying to get the bugs worked out and trying to keep the headgasket in it. I think I have it fixed this time, but next pull will tell.

Turbos, have you found any place that lets you run with the group, or do you have to exhibition pull?

No, I just pull exhibition....well, blow up in exhibition...I am still getting the bugs worked out of the new setup.

Bad thing is that there are about 4 of these tractors... they could make a class... (If everyone could keep them running... haha..) the one that makes almost every pull... has a ways to go...

I gotta say that little 560 stays together well. He is turning it about 4500 and with a bigger turbo it should make some power. The little diesel ford runs strong too. I would like to think when I get my churning it will be a little more capable, but I dont know.

It is ready to hook again with new gasket, new studs and the ignition dead nuts on. If it blows again I might just leave it at the pull with a sign "free to a good home".

I didn't think he was turning the 560 that fast.. I don't know anything about it.. other than he's using a turbo off a JD... I also think it needs a bigger turbo.. or a smaller exhaust housing...

Haha....I see you have a high level of confidence that I will break again.

I dont know what turbo he is running, but it does need something. It just runs out of steam almost like an NA engine.

I built a turbo charged M about 10 years ago and tried to play around and pull it, but they wouldn't even let me pull it exhibition after the first pull. They cried around about it being too dangerous to turbocharge a gas. I tried to tell the idiots that there had been turbocharged gas cars for years and that the turbo on my tractor was even from a gasoline car and they still would not let me pull it. So I went back back to NA and pulled it that way. If I ever build it back I am going to fuel inject it with the same system that I have on my 90 F250 351w fuel injected and turbocharged. I had a 650 Holley on my M and it worked really well. Never had any detonation or head gasket problems at all, but then again I only had it that way for a couple months and then I changed it all back.

I would have kept messing around with the turbo stuff just for fun even if I couldn't have pulled it but I flipped the tractor and crushed all the turbo setup including manifolds and turbocharger. So I didn't see any reason wasting time building it all back. So that is when I built the setup on my F250.
