I have a G-900 that"s not getting fuel. Will it hurt any to blow air thru the carb like a diaphram or the float? It has gas to the carb, but not to the plugs.

Alan, Do not blow air into the carb. It will possibly mess up the float. There is also a rubber diaphram (accelerator pump) in there that doesn't need that much air pressure on it. I would imagine it has a plugged jet. If I had the proper gaskets and it wasn't raining yesterday I would have taken it apart. One other thing to check is the plugs. Go into Union and pick up some Champion UD16 plugs and try them. The more I thought about it they could have been wet from the condenstion and all the rain yesterday. I know I had spark at the wires but since we didn't have the plugs out I couldn't tell there. I would put them in first and then try to start it. Maybe give it a shot of fluid to get it going. If that doesn't do it the carb needs to come apart. Remember to re-set the point gap as I just "winged it" yesterday to try and get it to run. Should be close enough, but I believe the gap should be set at .022. Give me a call and I can help you through it if needed. Sorry about yesterday, I tried. Give me a call anyway if you get it running. Thanks
