Moline g950

I have aquired a Moline g 950 diesel with a cab. The tractor has been sitting for some time and needs alot of work(engine rebuilt, tires, ect.) The sheet metal is in great shape and all of the glass is in the cab. Does anyone have any info about this tractor and any input about the pros and cons of putting money into a rebuild. Is it worth it or should it be parted out? Thanks for the help. Plates read: Model 451-6. serial # 44700101. Engine d504a-6

PLEASE dont part it out. There arent alot of those around anymore and they arent making any new ones. Im sure it wont be cheap to rebuild and it may take a while but in my opinion it would be worth it. These machines need to be preserved if at all possible. I would love to have one myself. Ive always wanted an M670 super and I finally have one. I won't get it rebuilt for a few years but thats ok. I get a sense of pride in MM everytime I look at it and admire how they look. They really had some nice tractors in the 1960's.

They were rare when they were built. If you consider what it costs for any tractor to be rebuilt then MM are not that bad. We have rebuilt 5 different MM's and they were all easy in comparison to other makes. The engine data plate tells you it was a 451 diesel. the prefix tells you it is a 451 diesel. It's not a 504 diesel unless some one has already rebuilt it before with othe components. Check the transmission for the tractor serial number it should start with 436

Probably be tough to get your money back out if you hire the rebuild. Not many were made, I believe only a 1000 or so 950s and most were diesel. Still would be a shame to part it out. Seems like you could find someone whom would buy it "as is", and still turn a reasonable profit. If you decide to part it out and it has the later front hood design with "MM" rather than the fiberglass bubble with the lettering "White", I would be interested.

DON'T part it out !!! any MINNIE that is comeplete is worth the effort!! I brought a U302 stuck and sitting under a tree for years, $2000.00 and a lot of enjoyment later I have a tractor worth 4500.00 draws a lot of attention and wins in stock pulls 950 would make a great tractor only about 850 made!!

Don't part it out. Try and rebuild it and get er back to running condition. If you are not interested in it let us know where it is and someone here may be interested in it. I have a early (SN43600006) 950 diesel and love it. It is one of the nicest driving tractors I've run. I would like to find a good used bubble nose for mine to make it look a little better.

Thanks for the info to locate the serial number. It is 436600080. From the info on this site it looks like a 69 model. The tractor has the fiberglass/plastic nose cone that has WHITE on it. I can post some pictures if i can figure out how. It is missing the starter, air filter cover and air filter, and one piece of cowling on left side at the rear of engine where it ties into cab(I know where it is though). Its a pretty impressive tractor and I would like to see it run.

I will give this one a bump since I have an interest in seeing that we get this gone (tractor that is).

It is located close to Canyon, Tx 79015 and it is for sale. Post your e-mail and I will send you pictures.

Thanks
