One of my friends was driving it around and all of a sudden there was a cloud of white-blue smoke 50' long and a good 20 high!! Looked at it, and saw there was oil in the carborator. rinsed it with gas, and pulled/cleaned the head, and now it dont smoke, much, but only runs on full throttle/choke. Any pointers appriciated. Thanks alot.

I don't think you really needed to pull the head.

Oil made it's may into the combustion chamber. That can happen on a garden tractor if the oil is over-filled or you're driving on a hill (amongst other possibble causes).

No idea why it needs full throttle/choke.

Dear lanse,
If it still is running poorly, look to what you have been told. The tin breather behind the carb is designed to have controlled vacuum applied and it has a reed valve in it Fix this and I think it willrun well. JimN
