Motec is something wrong there?

Just was wondering if any one else is having problems getting parts don't mind waiting but he has told me twice that he shipped them and haven't received nothing. He's done work for me before and haven't had problems. This has been going on since JULY.

I went through that with Rob swarthslander and in the end he was a dead beat. If I were you get your money back. If you paid with paypal there are time limits.

never dealt with him although I have had some email correspondent with him until he stopped talking with me about some governor work and parts, I wouldn't personally do business with him.
after a lengthy email with him I don't believe he's doing what his web sight claims he can do.

It seems odd that he would take that long. I know he is really covered up and hopes to hire some help after the first of the year. I have had similar experience with another well known supplier on this sight (empty promises and just plain rude responses) but others seem to love them, so I choose to go elsewhere for my parts. I'm sure they don't mind losing my business as I don't mind giving it to someone else. I'm guessing he would feel the same without trashing his name.

My intent was not to trash his name. I have done business with him before a few years ago had no problem. Just he wouldn't return phone calls or e-mails. Sooo I thought I would ask around to se if something was wrong Thank You AB

Your comments about Motec"s website claims is off base and unfounded. I am a very satisfied customer.

My favorite tractor is a GTB. I had just put 07 heads on and found a problem with the governor. I called him letting him know my issue and the VERY TIGHT timeframe. He received my governor, rebuilt and tuned it that night and was in the mail the next day. I had it in my hands and installed it in the tractor the night before the pull. I checked the RPM"s I requested with my tach and it was DEAD ON.

NO ONE should make false claims (remember the sermon today?), particularly in this case. Motec does great work.

Not sure whats going on with Matt - I have used him for Carbs for several years and had always had good fast service from him - but last ones I sent him took a long time. I'm guessing hes overloaded.

I have been dealing with him for several years, my opinion know one nows more than Matt does on any question I ask him about tractors, engines propane etc. just my 2 cents

Gee Wiz I'm not making false claims. This is all I could think to do. He will not call back or respond to email. What would you do in my place. He has my gov. carb. and dist. I did say that he told me that they were done, and he shipped them. Thanks AB

It appears a lot of people are overlooking one small but important detail..."he said he shipped them". Everything he ships is via UPS. Did you check with UPS? Ask Matt if he has the tracking number for your package. Wouldn't be the first time they lost a package or 2...

Dec.3rd finally got ahold of Matt, he told me parts were shipping out on the 4th,agian. Told him thanks and that I would be waiting on them. Thanks for lending your ears, maybe some of this filtered down to the right ears. Also thanks to matt @ motec for doing work like that, not many left around that do. Hope none of this hurts his business. He has done good work for me in the past. AB

Glad to hear it. Should have mentioned that he also drives a school bus, so getting him on the phone can be difficult. Hope it all comes together soon.
