I'd like some advice on mounting floorboards on my 2N.
I bought a set from Forest Lake Tractor in MN. They're nicely made and all in one piece, so the front hangs over the footpeg and the rear bolts to the most forward two bolts that hold the hydraulic covers on. Replace the 7/16 x 3/4" bolts and no big deal.
Except
On my right side, I have some hydraulic fittings that feed the front blade that get in the way of the bracket. I thought about getting a longer bolt and some spacers to move the bracket outside the hydraulic fittings but I'm wondering about the strain on the threads on the rear housing. The bolt would have to increase from 3/4" to 3 1/2".
Would I be better coming up with a bracket that mounts to the top of the rear housing so the the rear of the floorboard is supported from above, as opposed to from the side?
I'll welcome advice.
