Mounting Floorboards

I'd like some advice on mounting floorboards on my 2N.

I bought a set from Forest Lake Tractor in MN. They're nicely made and all in one piece, so the front hangs over the footpeg and the rear bolts to the most forward two bolts that hold the hydraulic covers on. Replace the 7/16 x 3/4" bolts and no big deal.

Except

On my right side, I have some hydraulic fittings that feed the front blade that get in the way of the bracket. I thought about getting a longer bolt and some spacers to move the bracket outside the hydraulic fittings but I'm wondering about the strain on the threads on the rear housing. The bolt would have to increase from 3/4" to 3 1/2".

Would I be better coming up with a bracket that mounts to the top of the rear housing so the the rear of the floorboard is supported from above, as opposed to from the side?

I'll welcome advice.

Forest Lake Tractor??
Sheesh!
I would tell that @#!!?* cheap Tractor Rod to take them back if they didn't fit! wink
Seriously though -
Any way you could post a photo of the hydraulic lines? I get up to Rod's fairly often and may be able to help you but would need to see what had to be done before I could help.
Am pretty sure I'll be up there one day this week.

I bought a pair from him a few years ago and recently took them off. Don't need them anymore. So if someone would like a pair for their 2n, i will make you a good deal.

saguaro I just looked at a set mounted and the muffler would interfere before the the running board. shoot me a picture and we can remedy the problem. Thanks Tractor Rod
