Oldmax,

I live in hill country in Middle Tennessee. My farm is named Twin Hills Farm. Our farmstead is in the valley between two ridges. I mow my hills because they need to be mowed, but even after doing them for years, they still scare me when I'm on them. Just like you, I mow up and down on most of them. I have a low ground clearance Ford 2000 tractor and that helps some, but it still feels funny when I turn at the top of the hill and start back down.

Good luck and be safe.

You certainly do have some hills down there, I came through there 2 years ago, on a return trip from Florida, and I thought ours were something to deal with here, adds a little stress to the ride that is for sure. Some nice landscape down there, glad I had a chance to see it, was a nice ride, right at dawn when I crossed the WV line.

I have a 1996 - 1715 Ford/New Holland is 27 HP FWD with a 5' Kingkutter Hayside mower . the FWD helps hold back on hills . sure beats the old 8-n . Here is picture of tractor while I was taking Break .
