I read somewhere that when you use a MSD Box with points you should take out the condensor? Is this true?

Shaggym, yes you dont want a condenser with the newer msd boxes. There is no load on condenser and discharges randomly causing misfires. If you think you have and old style msd box and think you still need a condenser call msd tech line. Gary

I will have to call them. Its a MSD 6 no added extras.

Why even trigger from the points? Use a flywheel pickup. Removes the slop and variance in timing due to gear wear.

Well I am on a little bite of Budget.
I did some work for a guy and he gave me the msd and it works!
This isn't a fire breathing monster by no means! I just want to try it and see if it helps.
