can i remove hyd pump from tractor if not using it?tow vec. only

I had a MT for years. The hitch is hooked on the touch o matic lift. Handy to be able to lift it up and down when hitching or unhitching stuff. Why do you want to remove it.

The pump is on the engine. The TOM is under the seat. You would have to fabricate a cover if you removed the pump and you would have to fabricate a seat mount as well as remove the pump drive gear if you removed the TOM.

the guy before me replaced all of the hard line with hyd hose(old and leaking)and i have no funds to replace it.maybe at a later date.can i loop a small hose from pump inlet to outlet?temporary.

You could do that if you put a T fitting where both lines meet so you could fill it with oil.

you can remove it JD made a cast cover you can put over where you remove the pump. ebay or some other parts yards may have one
