mt poor idle

I have an MT that surges really bad at an idle. It runs smooth under a load. Do I have a problem with the governer or do I need to rebuild the carb?

Go through the carb with a new kit and clean every passage if it needs it. Replace the points and condensor. Make sure the wiring is good at all connectors and heavy enough gauge. Set the timing and valve clearance and one will notice a big difference after adjusting the carb. I have posted a link to a video to show how it should run. Not that mine is set to any kind of standard. I'm sure there are much better examples out there.

Was wondering if other mt owners have expeirenced the abilty of low idle in 4th gear ? Mine hops with every motor stroke.

How in the world did you attatch a video. I've tried 90 11 ways to make it work, and the filter always removes it after I hit submit the last time on the second screen. Fill me in, cause I hate being left in the dark.
