Mustang 310 Skidloader??

I have a Mustang 310 skidloader with a 34" bucket. I can't keep the front end on the ground. Anytime I try to go up the slightest incline, it wants to sit on it's rearend. The Owner's and Parts Manuals don't show that I'm missing parts or weights on the front. I am missing the rear grille cover, but that would only put more weight on the back.
Does anyone have any good experience and advice with these small skidloaders?

Don't know much about your model, but that is the way they are designed. Steep inclines, you should be going up backwards. All that weight in the back is designed to counterweight the load in the front. Doug N

Yes, first rule of skid-steers is: Keep the heavy end uphill.... Never climb an incline forward, unless you have a loaded bucket, or a heavy attachment on. It is a scary feeling to feel the machine start tipping back..

Yeah, LOL, it's only scary the first time. It'll only go over as far as the engine skid plate will let it go, unless you are on a serious hill. Got a 743 bobcat, and wouldn't trade it for anything.

With our lightest attachment(forks) on you can stand in front of it and lift the front wheels off the ground by hand, by lifting on the forks.

keep the roll cage on it too.
my 330 mustang has a heavy screen that will keep you arms legs and feet inside if you should happen to roll over. use your seat belt.

Doug,
You're right it is scary the first time and every other time in my opinion. I don't believe I'm that light on the front, but close to it. The book says the weight (about 1900 lbs max) distribution is 27% front and 73% rear. I understand the going up hill part, but I'm talking a very slight incline. I don't have a level spot on the place. Maybe I could tie a weight on the front. The small bucket (34") probably doesn't help.

Thanks guys for the comments.
