I drove up to Burgh Implements this morning in western PA and met up with the guy who said he could haul my tractor.
It all went very smoothly, he had an F550 with a flat bed and it loaded very easily, it took less than 15 minutes to load the tractor. I paid $1000 for the tractor, and I am very happy about it.
I got it home, my grandfather helped unload it, and I practiced driving it around my neighborhood. I have a lot to learn, especially about how to shift gears considering I have never driven a manual transmission before.
Anyway, I figured I would post some pictures.
Also, I have a question about shifting. Is it best to shift while moving, for example, to go from 1st to 2nd to 3rd, or should I stop the tractor and then start it moving in 3rd? Also, how do I downshift, can I do it on the move or should I stop the tractor before downshifting?
