CONGRATS ON THE NICE 830....brother got a standard 830 back in 1976 paid 3500 , he put a tricycle front on him , after the wide front cylander became irrepairable and i joked that it was like driving around a 2 story house with the standard wide front . i DO like baling with it .becaue you sit up hi ...

Nice tractor, brings back memories. We had one like it, only a diesel. Dad really liked the tractor, except when it was on the chopper chopping haylage it would always boil. The local dealer here could not get it fixed, so after 2 or 3 years of this dad traded it on a new 870 at a different dealer. That was when we had lots of dealers close by. They told us that the 830 had a cracked block. It was fixed and resold, dad talked to the second owner and he said how he loved the tractor after it was repaired. That first dealer lost the Case line a few years later, for obvious reasons. I spent a lot of time riding on the fender of that 830 when dad was chopping. Imagine using an 830 to chop haylage with an 880 New Holland chopper! We still have the chopper for chopping straw, now we use the 2290 on it! My how things have changed.
