N Tire question

All, has anyone used Armor tires on their tractor? They are a Chinese made tire. I am in the market for 2 rears for my 8N and came across a pretty good deal on these. There is a place thats fairly local (within 30 mins) that I can get 2 tires, tubes, disposal fees, taxs, etc for $450.00. If these are pretty good tires, I'm gonna jump on that deal. They also carry the Titan brand. The same deal with all the stuff but in the Titan brand is $540.00. Thanks in advance!

Yep, includes the mounting, tubes, tires, SC disposal fee (10 per tire). I have fluid to put back in them already. I have looked at Miller Tire but don't want to get rid of my Top Hat rims. My rims are in good shape (no rust at stems) and I would like to keep them. I will think hard about the brand difference. The Armor tires are 6 ply according to their site and the Titan is 4 ply. I will call Miller to see what they can do for 2 tires and tubes. I know its about 50 a tire for mounting around here.

The way the Chinese have been poisoning us, I would pay the extra for the American made tires - they'll probably hold up better.

Brian:

I cannot speak to the Armours but Titans are my favorite. Unless changed recently they tend to run noticeably wider that other brands.

Titan tires made in usa.Titan's tire production facilities are located in Freeport, Illinois, Bryan, Ohio, and Des Moines, Iowa,

Brian,
If your a chinees guy and have family back there I'd for sure support my country. But for a $90.00 difference I think I would support our guys and have a better product on my rig. Maybe it's just me but I dispize putting china products on my 9N. They are trying to poison or kids by lead paint on toys and make them cabbages. No telling what else they put in the food stuff they send here. I'm personally at war with them by controlling my dollar. But on the other hand I do understand $90.00 would buy four bags of groceries that would last about a day with three kids. Buy em and buff all the writing off and alls well.

Last time I was at AgriSupply (Oct 2007) they had rear tires for $220 ea. I don't remember the brand, and that was unmounted w/o a tube. They did look good, might be worth a look if you have a store near you.

Hey Man I have a Cambridge 11.2 x 28 for sale... It is not new but sure looks like it. It did not match the goodyear on the other side. I think Cambridge is made by Titan. Good looking tire tread. I have 2 of the same tires on a Allis B (24") they are working great, and look great. The tire is in SE TeXas and can be shipped. I want $150 OBO for this 99% tread tire. If interested email- [email protected] or call (903)918-4334 Let me know if I can help.
