NAA hydraulic pump

It looks like the vane pump on my NAA is shot. I understand that most of them have been changed out to piston pumps. Where can I locate a new or used piston pump and plumbing and what can I expect to pay?

Is it just out of prime? They can lose prime if
the intake O rings are bad. Many years ago Ford
discontinued the vane pump but some years later
reinstated along with parts. Some actually pref.
the vane. The only 3 parts that wear out is the
rotor, vanes and block housing that-it used to be
a kit and could also be found from other Hyd Co's
as well. Chuck

A vane pump will cost twice the amount to re-build. It will also out perform a piston pump hands down. This is the main reason why so many fork lifts have vane pumps! Just my .02 and personal experience.

It will cost more than that provided you can even find the parts anymore.
Before I replaced my vane pump I must have spent 2 weeks looking for parts. They are just not available anymore. Best ot bite the bullet and purchase a decent rebuilt piston pump and be done with it

(quoted from post at 15:18:15 03/05/09) worthington ag parts has both style pumps rebuilt and repair kits also. phone 1-800-525-7278.Scott
Worthington has just the repair/rebuild kit for the vane pumps at over $400.00. before shipping. Hence, my point above that it is best to go with the piston type and be done with it
