Im having one heck of a time getting the old spindle bushings out of the old girl any tricks that would help me acomplish this task thanks for your help in advance

I used a reciprocating saw with a 6" metal cutting blade. Make 1 or 2 cuts down the length of th ebushing and it will fall right out. If you are careful, you won't damage the spindle and even if you do nick it, the new bushing will cover it up.

I've also heard you can just drive the old bushing down into the shaft and put the new bushing on top

I've heard tell that some have just simply pressed the new one on top of the old and let the old one stay in the center of the spindle. I didn't want to do that when I did mine. I used a piece of 1/2" pipe with a 1/2" coupling on the one end and used the coupling as a driver to just catch the edge of the old bushing and drove them out from the top down. One spindle had two bushings while the other had three.

Use a bushing cutter,Leaving the old bushing in the axle may block the spindle when you try to get the spindle back in.
