NATPA Wauseon question

Why are there no 2500lb classes? Was planning on going with a 2500lb, and 3500lb tractor, but might not be worth the trip only taking the one tractor.

CLINTON D why don't you build a 4500 and up tractor pull with the big boys 25 plus hooks. Don't play in a class with only one maybe two tractor in the class whats the point of that. Waste of time and gas on your part.

Tough Pullin Track!

It would be hard to get a 2500lb Tractor to Move the Sled verry far!

red, looks like he's already built 2 tractors. Pretty good idea. Combined weight of 6000#, gets to pull two tractors. Less weight to haul and less weights to move.
What is it with some of you guys that think the only real tractors are big ones? If you don't have a G or an M or a GVI, it isn't a real tractor. Must be compensating for something.

Compared to an NTPA Super Stock, your big M is a garden tractor.

If NATPA has a 2500# class, Wauseon and all of their sanctioned pulls should have all classes available.

There will be 2500# on saturday the 28th and you will be able to move the sled just fine .It will be John Krauss sled .I hear of a couple smaller tractors coming out this year.

I pulled 3000lb last year at Wauseon with my B Farmall.
I would like to go bigger but money and room are a big thing for me.

Many size tractors were built for many size applications. I pull 5500# and 6000# with most folks but far more tiny tractors were built than large ones. The solution is to entice more small tractors to come out and play. Calling a fellas choice of fun "a waste" and pushing him to be like everyone else doesn"t accomplish this. Most guys don"t have time and resources just to "whip out" a new puller tractor with every new trend or haul around giant iron. My big bad red owner friends would agree. They pull B, C, A, & H as well as M and W9 models and gladly spend time and fuel to do it.

And I was glad you came Shaggy! I'll be there again. Look me up. Liquidating inventory in my barn too for room and so I can focus on fixing the tractors that mean more to me.

I think a few hundred Allis Chalmers pullers would have a problem with that remark. Some of them 3000-3500# fellas might be glad to throw a couple thousand pounds on their light weight "waste of time and gas" and humble a few model M. Happens more frequently than most realize. But names like Feldpausch, Monroe, and Garms don't have to talk about it. Their wins say so. The more, the merrier. Variety is the spice of life. Bring on the light pullers. They are a budget blast!
