Was told that the hook count was up for the Columbia pull but after doing the math it wasn't. Down 31 hooks and at $25.00 that's a pretty good chunk of money, $775.00.

Just keeping them honest. It's too bad. Sounds like Springfield wasn't too good either so I heard. I'm sure it's no one on the boards fault. Nah couldn't be the guy that's too good to talk to anyone. You would think the top man would be a promoter.

Hey Jim, My daughter did the book work at sringfield Total hooks 192 including jackpot classes Thanks Larry

When NATPA comes to Princeton In. Quite a few of us go to watch but not to pull. I don't quite fit their rules.

The impending bad weather I would say had a lot to do with hook numbers at Springfield. Pulling indoors is a gamble just like pulling outdoors in the summertime; the only difference is the way the precipitation falls, or the threat of it. I awoke yesterday morning to local tv reporting weather advisories for points just north and east of Springfield, and from the way my journey went towards home this afternoon I am glad I didnt have a trailer to worry about too. Pull was well run, I had a good time got to visit with a lot of folks. Photos up later, got to see some iron I dont normally see (note to self I need to cross the big river more!)

Yeah, I might of been wrong Bryan. People I talk to are probably wrong or confused, said the president changed the order of pull so he could go home early and then was still there when they left. I'm sure they would do that for any of us? Right? So if you are on the board you can have any advantage you want? Right? I was there when they accused Don of cussing Richard at Lincoln last year, which he didn't I was there trying to get him to check a tractor that WAS cheating. It was Richard Wenzig that was doing the cussing. Not Don! And then they kicked Him out of the club.

Funny how the hook count is down isn't it?

I don't want to be the one to say it, but I will. The club is being run into the ground because of the board. All you had to do is watch the end of last year. Especially at Lincoln and Columbia. If you were close to someone on the board, Don Woods IE, you were accused of cheating, using the same tires he used all year and the last. Let me ask you, would you chance using an illegal tire that you had not run all year in chance of losing the points when you're ahead? The answer is no. Neither would Don, and I HEARD DON GET THE CUSSING not Richard.

I'm Peed off because these are my friends and I started pulling because of the friendship. I've defended this club before and caught it because I did. I don't know what it was like before I started, but I know what I've seen in just the last part of last year and it's not the club I bought a tractor just to join.

Some of the nicest and most honest people I've ever known pulled with NATPA.

I wonder if the board members have any idea what it would be like to be accused of something you didn't do. How do you defend that to people you know and then, WOW, you're gone? Maybe to never see them again to explain it?

Some of these folks claim to be Chris, I won't finish that but they need to think about it.

My name is JIM JOHNSON #7859797997

I'll put MY name on what I say. Let's see if others that have had enough will do the same. I've been asked in the past not to do this by friends that think it will hurt the club but I'm convinced the damage is already done. And it's a shame to those who are to ignorant to see it and can't look at themselves.

All because of two stupid rules, RPMs, which can change at the end of each run, and no top cut tires in Div. II. Ask yourself is it worth it?

Thanks Larry, 275 last year, minus 192 X $25.00 equals, is that right, $2075? I'm sure it's the bad weather. Right? I sure hope your pull goes better. Maybe THEY should let your 4010 pull. I know I voted for it.

Jim

I agree NATPA is headed south. The president is an a** and the yes man bordmembers better wake up. Grow some balls and due the right things to help the NATPA not yourself and your click before its to late. Chase off the pullers you don't like and you will soon be pulling by yourselves. with all that said, times are tough for alot of people. All clubs should do there best to provide a fair and honest pull for all to compete. because without enough turnout at pulls the bottom line will be in the RED. Compition is why I compete. Bottom line is why should I drive hundreds of miles, spend tons of money, and not have a chance to compete fairly! Its important to have rules please use a little common sence when enforcing them !

I was a member for many years, in the Bill Burch/Bear days, but not for several since I left it and not ever planning on being one again either. I left it for the same reasons. This BS has always gone on, nothing new. Some things just never change! They will get no fight out of me or my money. Past NATPA Member, Dave Wickman 319-377-0947

Every time I see a step forward (like the jackpot classes), something else takes two steps back. It's too bad because despite all the jokes I make about Deere tractors, I was hoping to watch one of your pullers at an event somewhere. As for myself, I'm smack dab in the middle of a stroker project and wondering why I'm going throught the effort and added expense of meeting NATPA rules if by the time I finish, I'm either not legal or nobody's left.

Hmmm. Now I don't feel so bad that the local CAFPC "Michigan Shootout" speed limit pull weekend rakes in 300+ hooks. We must have done something right. Very little publicity and not even an open class! Can't wait for 2011 Michigan Shootout and Ionia Free Fair. A spot for anyone to pull!

Jim,
The Cloumbia Pull was on the same Time as the Mid Alantic AntiqueSuper Pull with 10 or So NATPA regular Pullers from the EAST that went to a Pull On the East Coast Instead of traveling 1000 Miles or more like the normialy have done in the Past!

We Had 617 Hooks Nov 20 2010 at the Mid Alantic Antique Super Pull.

I started pulling NATPA last year and have had a good time pulling against top tractors. If you win you have done something. I agree that Brad the President should be a man and take care of situations that happen. The Mendon pull they pulled 4 wheel drive trucks Big tractors and didnt tell anyone that it was going to be there. A lot of people drove many miles to go to that pulll and they start pulling everything that was not NATPA. If any of you guys read Gary Bakers Post it explains it.
