well if anyone had any idea what is wrong with this club all they had to do was go to this complete waste of time meeting tonight. it;s evident that members can vote in what ever they want and then one board member makes one motion and takes it all away just like that. i wonder if they are really stupid enough that they don"t know what they just did.they lost a bunch more of the few members they had. what a shame. i for one will be sorry to see their demise but the board just did that tonight

I don't know anything about the club, but here is an idea, if you don't like the way it is run, why don't you gather all the ones who drop out and start your own club and get a little competition going?

The rules are just fine what they need to do is limit the number of hooks. I saw a g pull five time i mean really can a tractor really compete in five class

I don't understand people. Limit hooks because a tractor hooked five times. 8 or 10 might be too many. My uncles g can start at 4500 with 18.4-38 so 4500 5000 5500 5850 jackpot 6000 6500 even 7500 sometimes. And he is very competitive in every class. The point of a tractor pull is to hook to the sled, the more hooks the better payback and the better the club does

In my opinion, the divison 2T needs to have division 2 engine rules and keep the div 3 chassis rules. Right now it's more like a division 3T.

The original post was about the rules meeting. So tell us what happened for those of us not able to attend. Details man, we need details. Thanks jeff

Thay did the same thing ten years ago and nothing has changed. They have their agenda planned before the meetings and the board sticks with it. I quit after that meeting in columbia in 02 and they haven't missed me at all. Screw them!

The meeting did not go well. To many people wanting things for theirselves. We have to think what is best in the long run.Div 3 &4 stay the way they are for now. But if all you guys have good suggestions then speak up. This is your forum. This is your time. Not whats best for you but everyone involved. Times have changed lets change with with a purpose for all.

i dont know much about how the rules are made in the natpa ,but in southern il we use usap rules and we have hardly any bickering and crying about this are that ,just a thought

CCpuller hit the nail on the head! when I was a kid the local IH dealer had a sign on the wall that said"quiet people aren't the only ones that don't say much"! I don't belong to NATPA and I know it isn't perfect but I would pull at more of their events if distance wasn't a factor.I did get to Lincoln and I had no problems there. It's kinda nice to place against the upper end of the pulling world. So don't get on here and trash something you don't know anything about. Your morphadite Farmall probably would'nt pass tech anyway! In talking to a friend that attended it sounds like they need someone with a good knowlege of Roberts rules of Order to moderate the meeting. As for TT2 using div.2 engine rules the only thing I would have to change would be my carb.I like TT@ the only thing I would change might be a 3.5mph speed limit other than that I can put the 18.4's on and pull div.3 or 15.5's and pull TT2. If it is working I would say give it a try as it is for now. As for NATPA you members need to communicate with the directors, as for me I plan on going to a few more of their events next winter.

Sounds like the same BS as in years past.If they limted the hooks and had classes like USAP they could not survie.Last year they did not want top cuts.Sounds like it is going very well,Why fix it if it isnt broke.

tempola we all have a Life and Family to take care of what the H is that suppose to mean? You think because you don't belong to any club that you're better? I've seen you on here bickering more than most everyone else about where you go and pull. You got some explaining to do because you just offended most everyone on here. Maybe this explains why you have so much trouble at pulls.

Jim

so to show you don't like petty politics you have to say the rest of us don't have a family or a life else where? you really don't have a clue do you? the bad thing is you don't even realize what you did or said.

Then don't start stirring the pot about NATPA when you haven't been to any of their events. As for your personal life I'll tell you about mine. I farm, work full time ,have cattle and have raised my 15 year old son by myself since he was 5. he turned out to be a pretty good kid and can drive a pulling tractor as good as many on here! But I make time to go pulling none the less. You give me the impression of being what we call a circle fly, what a circle fly does is buzz around the inner group of pulling friends but can't figure out how to get in. And with respect to your father My dad served in the US Air Force under the Stragegic Air Command during the Korean era ready at a minutes notice if the crap hit the fan.

This is a classic online thread gone "awry". Nevertheless, i have been running a local club here in North Central PA for the last 3 years and have been involved with it for 5+, and I take a great deal of pride in putting together a quality pull and surrounding myself with quality hardworking individuals as well as all members for all decisions. It takes a great deal of time and money to be successful, but being responsive to the membership in anyway possible is the key. Without the members and their support, their is no club. Just something to keep in mind. We have several clubs in the area that either don't exist anymore or are on the verge of disappearing because their "Leaders" have hidden agendas and play "politcs". Just my opinion.

If you look up the word it is spelled 'MORPHODITE" "MORPHADITE" OR "MORPHIDITE" all have the same meaning which is a made up word from "HERMAPHRODITE". I hope this helped your education lesson for today, and you are right you do have the right to exercise any time you feel like it. Go ahead.

Amen again Josh. I made the motion to leave divsion 3 rules the same and we voted, and it passed! Most competative divsion with the most tractors. Great group of guys to pull with. There wouldn't be 30 + tractors in the classes if people didn't like th rules.

Did you pull against 30 a class this weekend? Don't pat yourself to hard yet. Who did you leave behind with your motion? , that don't have a recast blocks or head?& how long before a 1959 TRACTOR pulls division 3?

There wouldn't be 30 + tractors in the classes if people didn't like th rules.

Using your reasoning, we should change the rules to be the same as the jackpot classes, because they have the most hooks of any class. Just because div3 has the majority of hooks does that mean there is no room for improvement?

I feel NATPA should be the place a puller goes to pull against the best, not pull against everyone. If I win a class I want to know I just beat the best pullers in the nation, not a bunch of guys that just unhooked their tractor from the $hit spreader to go pull in a class with rules they lobbied for to fit their tractor. You want to pull against the big boys then build a big tractor!

In the 6000 and 6500 there were 25 or 28 tractors, so in that respect yes I did. in the heavier classes there have never been that many and dont ever expect there to be. I don't have a special cast block and do just fine. You can port heads and put bigger valves in any head too. The 1959 thing I'm not sure who that would benefit besides the G VI. I just see too many guys wanting things for their own tractor and not the betterment of the whole club. If there was 10 in those big number classes I would say yes a change is needed but every hook we have been to this year the numbers have been huge. We don't get to pull against anyone around home and it's just been nice to hook with that many guys. I just made the motion, everyone could vote on it. Majority spoke for how everyone thought...

59 would be the same tractors as div 5 and as far as leating oliver have 1600 parts makes it easier to find parts and not have so much money in them. You can not get no more cubes with 1600 parts. We pull againest 460 & 560 all the time and 88 with 310s some times they win some times we do.
